# Cloud Solutions Architect

Lead cloud migration initiatives and design scalable cloud architectures for federal government clients transitioning to modern infrastructure.

## About This Role

As a Cloud Solutions Architect at IAT Solutions, you will lead cloud transformation initiatives for federal government agencies. You will design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures that meet stringent government compliance requirements while enabling agencies to modernize their operations.

## Responsibilities

- Design cloud architecture solutions for AWS and Azure environments  
- Lead cloud migration projects from on-premises to cloud infrastructure  
- Ensure cloud solutions meet FedRAMP and government security requirements  
- Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates  
- Implement containerization strategies using Kubernetes and Docker  
- Create cost optimization strategies for cloud resources  
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams  
- Collaborate with security teams on cloud security posture management

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field  
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering  
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification  
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)  
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration  
- Understanding of FedRAMP and government cloud compliance  
- Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred)  
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

## Preferred Qualifications

- Multiple cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)  
- Experience with FedRAMP authorization process  
- Kubernetes administrator certification (CKA)  
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps  
- Previous experience with federal government cloud migrations
