Senior Network Engineer

About This Role

As a Senior Network Engineer at IAT Solutions, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure for our federal government clients. You will work on complex network architectures supporting mission-critical operations across multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise network solutions including LAN, WAN, and cloud networking
  • Configure and maintain Cisco and Juniper network equipment
  • Develop network security policies and implement security controls
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with federal standards
  • Mentor junior network engineers and share technical expertise
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 network support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (CCNP or CCIE preferred)
  • Experience with Juniper network equipment
  • Strong understanding of network security principles
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud networking
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCIE certification
  • AWS Advanced Networking certification
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies
  • Previous experience supporting federal government clients
  • Knowledge of FISMA and NIST security frameworks
